STLCC Softball Team Honors Veterans Through Wreaths Across America
On Sunday, December 13, 2025, the St. Louis Community College (STLCC) softball team proudly participated in the Wreaths Across America event at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. This annual tradition honors the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country by placing wreaths on veterans' graves.
Head Coach Kristi Swiderski shared, "This is a wonderful way to show our appreciation and gratitude to those who have fought for our country. We want our student-athletes to understand the importance of recognizing those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and honoring their legacy."
Athletic Director Sharon Marquardt added, "I encourage all of our athletic programs to volunteer for causes like this. I am extremely proud of the softball team for their dedication to our community and their commitment to service."
The STLCC Athletics Department remains committed to fostering a culture of leadership, service, and respect both on and off the field. Through initiatives like Wreaths Across America, student-athletes learn the value of giving back and honoring those who have paved the way for our freedoms.
